principle organization of professionals involved in the development
and implementation of treatment-oriented drug courts.
Bureau of Justice Assistance
The Bureau of Justice Assistance, a component of the Office of Justice Programs, provides leadership and assistance in support of local criminal justice strategies to achieve safe communities. BJA administers the drug court program which provides financial and technical assistance, training, and programmatic guidance and leadership.
Treatment Improvement Exchange, Center for Substance Abuse
The Treatment Improvement Exchange (TIE) is a resource sponsored by
the Division of State and Community Assistance of the Center for Substance
Abuse Treatment (CSAT) to provide information exchange between CSAT
staff and state and local alcohol and substance abuse agencies.
National Criminal Justice Reference Service
The National Criminal Justice Reference Service is an extensive source
of information on criminal and juvenile justice, providing services
to policymakers and professionals.
Office of National Drug Control Policy
The principal purpose of the Office of National Drug Control Policy
is to establish policies, priorities, and objectives for the nation's
drug control program, the goals of which are to reduce illicit drug
use, manufacturing, and trafficking; drug-related crime and violence;
and drug-related health consequences.
